AI connections
Using the Onggi post office
The post office hands what you pick with an AI over to your Mailbox. Pieces wait there locked, for up to 30 days, and leave the server once your Onggi app takes them.
- Connect Onggi to Claude first. If you haven’t yet, start with the Claude MCP setup guide.
- In the Onggi app, connect the same Google account you used for the connector.
How it goes
Check that Onggi is on
In the conversation, open the tools menu under the message box and see that Onggi is switched on.
It may already be on: Claude often switches a newly added connector on by itself.
Pick together
Ask Claude to pick lines from the conversation. It shows what it picked first and sends only what you agree to.
From what we talked about today, pick a few lines that stayed with me and show them to me. Send the ones I choose to Onggi.
You can say more as you pick: why a line touched you, which tags to add, or which drawer it goes in. Onggi matches tags and drawers to your own by name. Nothing is filled in that you didn’t say.
Allow the first send
The first time it sends, Claude may show an approval window titled Claude wants to use Keep in Onggi, with the data to be sent as JSON code.
This is Claude’s own safety step: it lets you check the data before anything leaves for another service. Look it over and allow it.
Look it over in the Mailbox
Open the Onggi app. When something waits, a single dot appears on the Mailbox (the envelope).
Pieces arrive together as one batch per conversation. Edit a piece, Let go of the ones you don’t want, or Make a drawer from these to keep the batch together.
Keep or Keep all puts them in Hangari. Until then, nothing in your Onggi changes.
If something doesn’t go through
- Claude says to connect your Google account in the Onggi app first.
- No device has your Google account connected yet, so there is nothing to lock the pieces for. Connect the same Google account in the app and ask Claude to send them again.
- Nothing has arrived in the Mailbox.
- Open Settings, then AI post office, and choose Check now. The app also checks on its own when it opens.
- The app asks you to disconnect and connect again.
- The post office session on that device has ended. Choose Disconnect under Data & sync, then connect your Google account again once.
- Pieces your phone received aren’t in the Mailbox on your computer.
- A piece leaves the post office as soon as the first device has it safely. To sort the Mailbox from more than one device, turn on Google Drive sync under Data & sync; the Mailbox then follows you to your other devices.
- You haven’t opened the app for a while.
- Pieces wait at the post office for up to 30 days. After that they are gone from the server, so open the app now and then while you send.
